Delete Temporary Internet Files

As you browse the internet, certain files are downloaded automatically and stored locally on your computer. These files are called "Temporary Internet Files". The files are web pages, graphics, cookies, and other items. These files, over time, can take up a lot of disk space. This is also where a lot of viruses get downloaded to.

In Internet Explorer, Click Tools, then Click Internet Options.

Click the "Delete Files" button.

Check the box that comes up to "Delete all offline content".

Then click OK.

This can take several minutes to complete.

Click Ok to exit the Internet Options dialog box.
