Internet Cookies
Cookies are files that are copied to your computer when you visit different web pages. Cookies are not harmful, and can sometimes help you on sites that you visit regularly. Cookies can store information about your visit to their website. It can store your log in information so that the website can remember who you are the next time you visit their site. It can also remember what items that you put in your shopping cart on their website. It all depends on what type of information that the owner of the website wants to put into their "cookie" file.
Some companies use a special cookie called a "Tracking Cookie". Tracking cookies are used to track which websites you've been to, and even which advertisements you've seen. They can also be used to track which websites you have been to over a certain period of time. This information is then gathered and used for further marketing purposes.
To Delete Cookies
In Internet Explorer, Click Tools, then Click Internet Options.
Click the "Delete Cookies" button.
Then Click OK.
Click OK to exit Internet Options.
